Biotrend Enerji, a subsidiary of Doğanlar Holding, was established in 2017 with the mission of investing in alternative energy production and with the goal of becoming a technological hub for production and application. Within Biotrend Enerji, there are a total of 17 facilities, including 8 integrated waste management and energy production plants (including those under development), 6 energy production facilities (2 using incineration technology), 1 solid fuel preparation plant, 1 industrial RDF (Refuse-Derived Fuel) facility, and 1 greenhouse. Operating in 9 provinces across 6 regions, Biotrend Enerji converts waste into electricity at 17 facilities, meeting the energy needs of hundreds of thousands of households.
Biotrend Enerji continues to work tirelessly to leave a clean and sustainable world for future generations, expanding its portfolio day by day and maintaining its position as one of the pioneers in the sector.
With the data from the first quarter of 2025, the total installed capacity of Biotrend Energy’s preliminary licenses and licenses reached 114.2 MWe, while the total net electricity generation reached 279.43 GWh. In light of all these figures, Biotrend Energy is positioned as one of the largest players in the Turkish biomass market in terms of the company’s licensed and pre-licensed capacities and installed power capacity.
