Biotrend Enerji, a subsidiary of Doğanlar Holding, was established in 2017 with the mission of investing in alternative energy production and with the goal of becoming a technological hub for production and application. Within Biotrend Enerji, there are a total of 17 facilities, including 8 integrated waste management and energy production plants (including those under development), 6 energy production facilities (2 using incineration technology), 1 solid fuel preparation plant, 1 industrial RDF (Refuse-Derived Fuel) facility, and 1 greenhouse. Operating in 9 provinces across 6 regions, Biotrend Enerji converts waste into electricity at 17 facilities, meeting the energy needs of hundreds of thousands of households.
Biotrend Enerji continues to work tirelessly to leave a clean and sustainable world for future generations, expanding its portfolio day by day and maintaining its position as one of the pioneers in the sector.
According to the first quarter data of 2025, Biotrend Enerji’s total installed capacity from licensed and pre-licensed projects has reached 114.2 MWe, and its total net electricity generation has reached 139.31 GWh. In light of these figures, Biotrend Enerji is one of the leading players in Turkey’s biomass energy market in terms of licensed and pre-licensed power and installed capacity.
